INFÂNCIA E DIÁSPORA DO JOVEM ZYGMUNT BAUMAN: NOTAS BIOGRÁFICAS DE CORTES TEMÁTICOS E SUAS CONTRIBUIÇÕES AOS ESTUDOS URBANOS
Este texto apresenta a infância e juventude de Zygmunt Bauman como momentos fundamentais para a consolidação de sua leitura de mundo e cortes temáticos para a sociologia por ele produzida quando adulto. Judeu-polonês, Bauman nasceu em Poznań em 1925, contexto em que o antissemitismo se agravava no país. Durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, Bauman foi submetido a uma diáspora para terras longínquas em fuga dos nazistas e foi incorporado ao Exército Polonês nos anos finais da guerra, lutando em Varsóvia, Kołobrzeg e Berlim. Nesta diáspora, Bauman percorreu mais de sete mil quilômetros dos 13 aos 19 anos, passou por cinco países e morou em oito cidades por mais de dois meses entre 1939 e 1945. Um conjunto de experiências urbanas em contextos extremos de privação, guerra, fome e sofrimento que contribuíram para o desenvolvimento temático de sua obra.

Abstract:
This text presents Zygmunt Bauman's childhood and youth as fundamental moments for the consolidation of his reading of the world and thematic cuts for the sociology produced by him as an adult. A Polish Jew, Bauman was born in Poznań in 1925, a context in which anti-Semitism was growing in the country. During World War II, Bauman was subjected to a diaspora to distant lands in flight from the Nazis and was incorporated into the Polish Army in the final years of the war, fighting in Warsaw, Kołobrzeg and Berlin. In this diaspora, Bauman traveled more than seven thousand kilometers from 13 to 19 years old, went through five countries and lived in eight cities for more than two months between 1939 and 1945. A set of urban experiences in extreme contexts of deprivation, war, hunger and suffering that contributed to the thematic development of his work.
