Incursões Por Paisagens Art Déco: Conexões São Paulo - Bahia
A interpretação patrimonial, como ferramenta de reconhecimento do patrimônio cultural e das paisagens culturais, foi o que moveu esta pesquisa, inspirada em uma incursão paisagística pelo Recôncavo baiano, realizada em 2019. Busca debruçar sobre a experiência do conhecimento de elementos construídos, conspícuos à historicidade, embora, às vezes, imperceptíveis na vida cotidiana das pessoas. Assim, criam-se as possibilidades de paralelos entre o viés turístico- cultural e as paisagens da vivência cotidiana dos seus habitantes. O foco do artigo se expressa na paisagem brasileira, na passagem entre o estilo Art Nouveau e o Modernismo, na qual se insere o estilo Art Déco, enquanto herança patrimonial dos anos 20 a 40 do século passado. Mais que formas inseridas na paisagem urbana, o Déco foi um movimento vanguardista, de visão de futuro, focado na modernidade e no progresso das nações. Na arquitetura, o Déco emoldura diversos usos e funções adaptadas ao caráter da obra, desde instituições (sociais, culturais, educacionais) a hospitais, estações ferroviárias, mobiliário urbano, residências, etc., que se revelam em grandes potenciais paisagísticos e culturais, e este desdobramento da reconhecida ‘arquitetura Déco’ se destaca em alguns percursos paisagísticos, um fenômeno pulverizado, que se observa nas cidades do Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo, e alcança Salvador na paisagem central da cidade, onde foram construídos edifícios mais altos e com a mesma linguagem na Praça Castro Alves e em suas proximidades, como o consagrado Elevador Lacerda, ligando as Cidades Alta e Baixa. Essa linguagem vai ecoando também por outros territórios da Bahia, com rica influência sobre paisagens interioranas, a exemplo de Conceição da Feira, onde o estilo do Art Déco marca a origem e a essência dessa pequena cidade, nesse período, como parte de nossos percursos paisagísticos, que pretendemos compartilhar.

Abstract:
The heritage interpretation, as a tool for recognizing cultural heritage and cultural landscapes, was what guide this research, inspired by a landscape incursion by the Recôncavo Baiano, carried out in 2019. It seeks to focus on the experience of knowledge of constructedt elements, conspicuous to historicity, although sometimes imperceptible in people's daily lives. Thus, the possibilities of parallels between the tourist-cultural bases and the landscapes of the daily life of its inhabitants are created. The focus of the article is expressed in the Brazilian landscape, in the passage between the Art Nouveau style and Modernism, in which the Art Deco style is included, as a patrimonial heritage from the 1920s to the1940s. More than forms inserted in the urban landscape, Déco was an avant-garde movement, with a vision of the future, focused on modernity and the progress of nations. In architecture, Déco frames several uses and functions adapted to the character of the work, from institutions (social, cultural, educational) to hospitals, railway stations, urban furniture, residences, etc., which are revealed themselves in great landscape and cultural potentials, and this unfolding of the renowned 'Déco architecture' stands out in some scenic paths, a scattered phenomenon, which is observed in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and reaches Salvador in the central landscape of the city, where taller buildings were built and with the same language in Praça Castro Alves and in its vicinity, as the renowned Elevador Lacerda, connecting the High and Low Cities. This language is also echoing in other territories of Bahia, with a rich influence on countryside landscapes, such as Conceição da Feira, where the Art Deco style marks the origin and essence of this small town, in this period, as part of our scenic routes, which we intend to share.
