Abstract: The Wayúu ethnic group is one of our intransigent aboriginal cultures in not wanting to disappear. It is located in the department of La Guajira, along with five more ethnic groups such as: Arhuacos, Kankuamos, Wiwas and Kogui, which are shared between the departments of Magdalena and Cesar, and another little- known and less important ethnic group, such as the Cariachiles, settled in the municipality of Molino, in the south of the department of La Guajira. The department of La Guajira is located in the north of Colombia, one of the foundations of this culture is its Wayúu normative system, which is applied by the highest authority of that town. According to their uses and customs, it is the palabrero or putchipu, who has the same functions as a lawyer in Western culture. This component is typical of a very ancient culture, and is integrated with certain values such as rectitude, life and dignity; In this culture, the value of the word is very strong, it is and must be respected by society. In this section we try to glimpse certain elements of the culture and, therefore, the main thing is the knowledge about its form of government, which are its own rules. However, it can be expressed that the meaning of life is very important for this culture and its well-being, therefore, it is important to take into account what is significant and what are its uses and customs for the solution of conflicts.
