IMPORTÂNCIA DOS MEDICAMENTOS SINTÉTICOS E/OU FITOTERÁPICOS NO TRATAMENTO PALIATIVO DE PACIENTES COM COVID-19
Desde os tempos mais antigos, o homem desenvolveu conhecimentos sobre a utilização de plantas para intervir sobre os males que o comprometia. Diariamente há o crescimento de patógenos resistentes a medicamentos, dificultando assim, o tratamento das doenças. Hoje, o novo vírus chamado Sars-Cov-2, intitulada Covid-19, gerou uma pandemia que acomete todo mundo, com pequenas exceções de países isolados dos continentes. Desde dezembro de 2019, onde ocorreu o primeiro caso de insuficiência respiratória aguda grave pelo Coronavírus 2 (SARS-Cov-2), em Wuhan, China, a Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) tem intervindo devido a rápida disseminação do vírus. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivos: adquirir conhecimento acerca da utilização dos principais medicamentos sintéticos e/ou similares utilizados no tratamento paliativo de pacientes com COVID-19, explicar como a COVID-19 age no nosso corpo; descrever as características do COVID-19; apontar a importância do tratamento paliativo em pacientes com infectados com COVID-19 e alertar sobre a forma correta e legal do dos principais medicamentos utilizados com os acometidos pela COVID-19. Concluiu-se que, não há nenhum medicamento que possa prevenir ou tratar o Covid-19, porém foram desenvolvidas e já foram autorizadas para uso emergencial vacina contra o vírus. A OMS relata que as mesmas são eficazes contra o COVID-19 e que foram desenvolvidas com sucesso, mesmo não possuindo 100% de eficácia contra todos os tipos de variantes do vírus, melhorando aos poucos o cenário da atual pandemia.

Abstract:
Since ancient times, man has developed knowledge about the use of plants to intervene in the evils that compromised him. There is a daily growth of drug-resistant pathogens, thus making it difficult to treat diseases. Today, the new virus called Sars-Cov-2, entitled Covid-19, has generated a pandemic that affects everyone, with small exceptions from isolated countries on the continents. Since December 2019, where the first case of severe acute respiratory failure caused by coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2) occurred in Wuhan, China, the World Health Organization (WHO) has intervened due to the rapid spread of the virus. This research aims to: acquire knowledge about the use of the main synthetic and / or similar drugs used in the palliative treatment of patients with COVID-19, explain how COVID-19 acts on our body; describe the characteristics of COVID-19; point out the importance of palliative treatment in patients infected with COVID-19; warn about the correct and legal form of the main drugs used with those affected by COVID-19. It was concluded that, there is no drug that can prevent or treat Covid-19, but they have been developed and are already authorized for emergency use against the virus. The WHO reports that they are effective against COVID-19 and that they have been successfully developed, even though they are not 100% effective against all types of virus variants, gradually improving the current pandemic scenario.
