IMPORTÂNCIA DO MÉDICO VETERINÁRIO NA PRODUÇÃO DE ALIMENTOS DE ORIGEM ANIMAL
A grande parte da população não sabe o quão importante é a função do médico veterinário para a sociedade. Acreditava-se que eles apenas cuidassem da saúde dos animais em si. Porém sua área de atuação é de enorme abrangência e suma importância. Como cada vez mais, esta aumentando o consumo de alimentos de origem animal, também surgiu o interesse das pessoas em saber como esses alimentos são produzidos e exigir que esses sejam produzidos de maneira ética, mantendo o bem estar dos animais, mesmo que destinados ao consumo e visando produtos de boa qualidade para a saúde humana. Com isso, para se produzir alimentos de origem animal tem que se respeitar as necessidades da sociedade em consumir alimentos íntegros e seguros e também com a preocupação do bem-estar dos animais, além de determinar se os produtos estão aptos ao consumo.

Abstract:
The majority of the population doesn’t know how important is the role of the veterinarian to society. He believed that he only took care of the health of the animals themselves. But the area that the veterinarian can act is of enormous scope and paramount importance. As more and more, this increasing consumption of foods of animal origin, also appeared people’s interest in how these foods are produced and there is demand that these are produced in an ethical manner, keeping the welfare of animals, even if intended for human consumption and aiming at good quality products for human health. Thus, to produce food of animal origin have to have respect for the company to produce nutritions and safe food for them and also with the animals, for the well being of the same. It is evident that requires a veterinarian to care for the welfare os animals in all their life stages, until the time of slaughter. And he that will determine whether the product is quality to go for human consumption.
