IMPORTÂNCIA DO MANEJO CORRETO DE RESÍDUOS GERADOS NOS SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE
Resíduo sólido de serviços de saúde (RSSS) é todo material que resulta da atividade humana em serviços de saúde no estado sólido ou semissólido. Devido à produção resíduos ser contínua e em larga escala, é necessário que existam maneiras específicas de acondicionamento, transporte e destinação final para cada um deles. Atualmente, a problemática da sobrecarga da cadeia produtiva, faz com que as discussões acerca da urgente necessidade do controle da geração de resíduos ganhem importância. Através de uma revisão integrativa, este trabalho discorre sobre a importância do manejo correto de resíduos gerados nos serviços de saúde, a base legal existente hoje no Brasil e os impactos associados ao descarte incorreto de alguns deles. A leitura dos artigos permite concluir que apesar de o Brasil já apresentar uma boa legislação acerca do tema, ela precisa se atualizar à nova realidade do país e aumentar a ação das instituições fiscalizadoras. É preciso também maior disseminação de informações acerca das instituições responsáveis pelo manejo e como o descarte deve ocorrer e, por fim uma parceria entre entidades governamentais e população, afim de que uma gestão integrada possa minimizar o descarte incorreto.

Abstract:
Solid residue of health services is all the material that results from human activity in health services in the state solid or semi-solid. Due to the fact that such services produce waste continuously and in large scale, its necessary that there are specific ways of packing, transport and final destination to each one of them. Nowadays, the problem of overload in the productive chain made the discussions about the urgent need to control the generation of waste gains importance. Through an integrative revision, this paper discuss the importance of the correct management of waste generated in health services, the legal basis existing in Brazil and the impacts of the incorrect disposal of some of them. The reading of the articles allows us to conclude that although Brazil already presents good legislation on the subject, it needs to update itself to the new realities of the country and increase the action of the audit institutions. There is also a need for greater dissemination of information about the institutions responsible for management and how waste should be disposed of and, finally, a partnership between government entities and the population, so that an integrated management can minimize incorrect disposal.
