IMPORTÂNCIA DO EXAME GENÉTICO NA HIPERCOLESTEROLEMIA FAMILIAR
Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar como os exames genéticos trazem benefícios no diagnóstico da hipercolesterolemia familiar, e como o nutricionista deve proceder para se ter uma melhor abordagem dietética com o auxílio da nutrigenômica, após o diagnóstico da patologia, para evitar possíveis complicações cardiovasculares futuras. Mostra também o custo de um exame genético para se ter um diagnóstico mais preciso. Realizado por meio de análises de artigos e livros da área de genética médica, podendo assim analisar a sua evolução no decorrer dos anos no país, e como ela serve de auxílio, tanto para detecção de doenças específicas, como também para se ter mais precisão na hora de prescrever um tratamento. Aponta também como o nutricionista deve proceder, mediante as evoluções dos exames genéticos, realizando a solicitação e estando apto a analisar e interpretar exames genéticos. Buscando um diagnóstico mais precoce por meio de exames genéticos, para assim diminuirmos a mortalidade em decorrência da hipercolesterolemia familiar. Metodologia: Para realização dessa pesquisa foram utilizados artigos científicos, livros e periódicos em português e em inglês sem restrição de anos, e sites como da Sociedade Brasileira de Genética (SBG), Conselho Regional de Nutrição (CRN) e o Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde do Ministério da Saúde (BVSMS), incluindo artigos que analisassem a história da genética no Brasil e excluindo artigos com estudos genéticos em animeis e plantas. Resultados: Para obtenção dos resultados dessa pesquisa foram utilizados 38 referencias sendo 32 artigos, 3 livros e periódicos e 3 sites, voltados para a área da genética humana, buscando descrever desde o inicio dos exames genéticos, ate os painéis mais recentes para hipercolesterolemia, e estudos que buscaram melhor compreender a etiologia da Hipercolesterolemia Familiar, bem como tratamentos voltados a modulação dos genes. Conclusão: Com a pesquisa pode-se notar como os exames genéticos exercem um papel importante no diagnóstico e busca por tratamentos para hipercolesterolemia familiar.

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze how genetic tests bring benefits in the diagnosis of familial hypercholesterolemia, and how the nutritionist should proceed in order to have a better dietary approach after the diagnosis of the pathology, to avoid possible future cardiovascular complications. It also shows the cost of a genetic test to make a better accurate diagnosis. Carried out through analysis of articles and books in the field of medical genetics, thus being able to analyze the evolution over the years in the country, and how it helps, both for the detection of specific diseases, as well as to be more accurate when passing a treatment. It also points out how the nutritionist should proceed, through the evolution of genetic tests, making the request and being able to analyze and interpret genetic tests. Seeking an earlier diagnosis through genetic tests, in order to reduce mortality due to familial hypercholesterolemia. Methodology: Scientific articles, books and journals in Portuguese and English with no restriction of years were used to carry out this research, as well sites like the Brazilian Society of Genetics (SBG), Regional Nutrition Council (CRN) and the Virtual Health Library of the Ministry of Health (BVSMS), including articles that analyzed the history of genetics in Brazil and excluding articles with genetic studies in animals and plants. Results: To obtain the results of this research, 38 references were used, 32 articles, 3 books and journals and 3 websites, focused on the area of human genetics, seeking to describe from the beginning of genetic tests, up to the most recent panels for hypercholesterolemia, and studies that sought to better understand the etiology of familial hypercholesterolemia, as well as treatments aimed at modulating genes. Conclusion: With the research can notice how genetic tests play an important role in the family hypercholesterolemia, helping in the diagnosis and treatment.
