IMPORTÂNCIA DO COMPLEXO AGROINDUSTRIAL DO CAFÉ NO DESENVOLVIMENTO ECONÔMICO DO BRASIL - 1996 A 2016
: O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar como o complexo agroindustrial do café tem contribuído no processo de desenvolvimento econômico do Brasil e dos principais estados produtores no período de 1996 a 2016. A fim de se atingir o objetivo proposto, a metodologia da presente pesquisa consiste em realizar uma pesquisa exploratória por meio da revisão de literatura sobre a temática abordada, bem como realizar uma análise gráfica e tabular de dados secundários referentes às variáveis de produção, produtividade, exportação, importação e mão de obra, presentes em levantamentos estatísticos oficiais de pesquisa. O comportamento da tendência e a evolução destas variáveis serão verificados através das taxas geométricas de crescimento. Verificou-se que o agronegócio do café cumpre as funções determinadas pela literatura sobre o papel da agropecuária no processo de desenvolvimento econômico de uma região por meio do fornecimento de alimentos (fornecimento e alta produção de café verde); do fornecimento de capital para o setor não agrícola (pela rotação de capital entre as indústrias de insumos e a produção e também entre os salários e bens de consumos); por meio da criação de mão de obra para crescimento e diversificação da economia (altas taxas de empregabilidade principalmente no cultivo e pela necessidade da colheita manual); por meio do fornecimento de divisas para a compra de insumos e bens de capital necessários ao desenvolvimento de atividades econômica (alto volume exportado e quase inexistência de importações pelo setor no período analisado); e também por constituir-se em mercado consumidor para os produtos do setor não agrícola (consumo de ferramentas, peças e acessórios pelas agroindústrias de torrefação e moagem). Concluiu-se que este complexo contribui ativamente para o desenvolvimento econômico do país.

Abstract:
The general objective of this research was to analyze how the coffee agroindustrial complex has contributed to the economic development process of the country and the main producing states of this agricultural culture in the period from 1996 to 2016. In order to achieve the proposed objective, the methodology of this research consists of conducting a review of the literature on the subject addressed, as well as performing a graphical and tabular analysis of secondary data regarding the variables of production, productivity, exports, imports and labor. of work, present in official statistical surveys of research. The trend behavior and the evolution of these variables will be verified through geometric growth rates. And so, it was found that the coffee agribusiness fulfills the functions determined by the literature on the role of agriculture and livestock in the economic development process of a region, as: a) the supply of food, for the supply and high production of green coffee; b) the supply of capital to the non-agricultural sector, which occurred due to the rotation of capital between the industries of inputs and production and also between wages and consumption goods; c) creation of manpower for growth and diversification of the economy, coffee has high employability rates mainly in cultivation, due to the need for manual harvesting; d) the provision of foreign exchange for the purchase of inputs and capital goods necessary for the development of economic activities, which occurred due to the high volume of exports and almost no imports by the sector; e) constitute a consumer market for products from the non-agricultural sector, indicated by the consumption of tools, parts and accessories by the roasting and grinding agro-industries. It was concluded that this complex actively contributes to the country's economic development.
