Abstract: A good diet for adolescent children is one that includes all the natural food groups in balanced amounts. It is highly recommended that children perform physical activity on a regular basis, that it be part of their lifestyle and that they reduce sedentary lifestyles. Objective. Deepen the influence of diet and physical activity in childhood and adolescence to achieve good growth and physical development. Method. The method used for the development of this study was oriented towards documentary research, where a bibliographic review related to the topic of diet and physical activity was conducted in the SciELO, MedlinePlus, Latindex, Elsevier and Scopus databases for the purposes of This studio. Results. A physically active lifestyle in childhood is an effective way to prevent certain quite common chronic diseases in adulthood, such as obesity, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, musculoskeletal problems, and mental health. It is known that a sedentary lifestyle is a risk factor for these same diseases, so regular physical activity and a reduction in sedentary lifestyle are an important pillar for childhood health. Conclusion. For physical activity and eating to be healthy, it is important that it be part of daily activity.
