Abstract: A person with a physical disability presents a complete or partial change in a segment of the body, which affects its functionality. The study aimed to investigate the possible implications of the home environment on the functional capacity of individuals with physical disabilities, from the perspective of the ICF. This is a descriptive observational study, with a cross-sectional nature aimed at individuals with physical disabilities who received physiotherapeutic care in the outpatient clinic of a Higher Education Institution of Rio Grande do Sul in the format of an interview and assessment of the home environment. In this study, ten individuals with motor disabilities were evaluated, five children and five adults. A positive correlation was obtained between the facilitator qualifier of products and technologies for personal use in daily life and self-care and a strong negative correlation between the barrier qualifier of products and technologies related to architecture, construction and finishes for private use and social function. The present study showed that the greater the facilitators for personal use in daily life, the better the individual's self-care and the lower the barriers, the greater the social function of the individual evaluated.
