Abstract: The aim of the study was to perform an integrative review on the clinical implications of color change in the crown of traumatized deciduous teeth. This is an integrative literature review whose research was carried out between June 2021 and December 2021, by consulting the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Brazilian Bibliography of Dentistry (BBO) and Literature databases. Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS) via the Virtual Health Library Regional Portal (BIREME) and the PubMed electronic portal. Starting the screening, 72 articles were selected by title, 17 of which were duplicates. With 55 articles after the removal of duplicate articles, the abstract was excluded. A total of 30 articles were excluded after reading the abstract because they addressed dental trauma, but did not refer to dental discolorations, and 14 articles were excluded for the same reason after having been read in full. Thirteen studies were included in the review. The color change of the dental crown in deciduous teeth can be an indicator of the post-traumatic complication and the state of the dental pulp, and it can be a transient or permanent condition, asymptomatic or develop symptoms and pathologies. Color changes in primary teeth were represented by pinkish, yellowish, and darkened discolorations, which suggest association of hemorrhage, obliteration, and pulp necrosis, respectively. Recommended treatment ranges from follow-up, pulp therapy and tooth extraction and is based on clinical and radiographic findings and operator judgment.
