IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE LAS TIC EN LA ENSEÑANZA DE LAS MATEMÁTICAS DE NIVEL UNIVERSITARIO
Se presenta el resultado de la
investigación “Eficacia de un entorno virtual en
el aprendizaje de las matemáticas”, realizada
en el Instituto Tecnológico de San Luis Potosí
(ITSLP), escuela del Tecnológico Nacional de
México, la que aborda la implementación de
las TIC en la enseñanza de las matemáticas
de nivel superior. A partir del semestre Agosto-
Diciembre de 2015 la Academia de Ciencias
Básicas del ITSLP, acordó utilizar MyMathLab,
un entorno virtual de aprendizaje conformado por
un sistema de tareas, tutoriales y evaluaciones
en línea de la editorial Pearson Educación,
como apoyo a las clases presenciales en la
asignatura de Cálculo Diferencial de las carreras
de ingeniería. Se compararon las calificaciones
promedio de los docentes en la encuesta al
desempeño docente en las competencias
relacionadas con el uso de las TIC, antes y
después de utilizar MyMathLab, apreciándose
un incremento con una diferencia significativa.
Se indagó sobre el nivel de satisfacción del
uso del entorno virtual de aprendizaje entre
los estudiantes y docentes, cuyas respuestas
a la encuesta aplicada muestran el grado de
satisfacción que tienen respecto al uso de la
plataforma.

Abstract:
The result of the research
“Efficacy of a virtual environment in the learning
of mathematics” is presented, carried out at
the Technological Institute of San Luis Potosí
(ITSLP), a school of the National Technological
Institute of Mexico, which addresses the
implementation of ICT in the teaching of higher
level mathematics. From the semester August-
December 2015, the Academy of Basic Sciences
of the ITSLP, agreed to use MyMathLab, a virtual
learning environment consisting of a system of tasks, tutorials and online assessments
of the Pearson Education publishing house, as support for face-to-face classes
in the subject of Differential Calculus of engineering careers. The average teacher
qualifications in the teacher performance survey were compared in the competences
related to the use of ICT, before and after using MyMathLab, showing an increase
with a significant difference. The level of satisfaction of the use of the virtual learning
environment among the students and teachers was investigated, whose answers to
the applied survey show the degree of satisfaction they have regarding the use of the
platform
