IMPLANTAÇÃO DE HORTA SUSPENSA COM O USO DE PLANTAS REPELENTES A INSETOS EM RIO POMBA
O cultivo de hortas suspensas é
considerado uma alternativa à produção agrícola
nas áreas urbanas que não possuem solos
Este trabalho teve como objetivo a implantação
de hortas suspensas na comunidade urbana
de Rio Pomba-MG, utilizando hortaliças
consorciadas com plantas que apresentam
ação repelente aos insetos. O trabalho foi
conduzido durante um projeto de extensão do
IF Sudeste MG campus Rio Pomba destinado à
comunidade urbana de Rio Pomba-MG. Foram
utilizados garrafas pet, bambu gigante, latas
de alumínio, madeiras reutilizáveis, cordas,
parafusos e arames. O acompanhamento da
equipe do projeto nas hortas implantadas foi
de fundamental importância para a avaliação e
também para o estreitamento de laços da relação
Instituto/Sociedade. A repelência das plantas
condimentar sobre os insetos apresentou uma
grande satisfação dos moradores, relacionado
aos estudos desenvolvidos pelos alunos. O
projeto permitiu desenvolver conhecimento
sobre o manejo das hortas e principalmente a
utilização de métodos alternativos de controle
de pragas.

Abstract:
The cultivation of hanging gardens
is considered an alternative to agricultural
production in urban areas that do not have
soils. The objective of this work was the implantation of hanging gardens in the urban
community of Rio Pomba-MG, using vegetables intercropped with plants that are
repellent to plants. insects. The work was conducted during an extension project of the
Southeast IF MG Rio Pomba campus for the urban community of Rio Pomba-MG. They
used pet bottles, giant bamboo, aluminum cans, reusable woods, ropes, screws and
wires. The follow-up of the project team in the gardens was of fundamental importance
for the evaluation and also for the closer ties of the Institute / Society relationship. The
insect repellency of the plants showed a great satisfaction of the residents, related to
the studies developed by the students. The project allowed to develop knowledge on
the management of the gardens and mainly the use of alternative methods of pest
control.
