IMPERIO CAROLINGIO. Relaciones de poder, cultura y representaciones
El objetivo de este trabajo es exponer el fenómeno histórico que fue el Imperio Carolingio, mediante un análisis de los procesos que hicieron posible su existencia, lo que supuso durante su hegemonía, así como las importantes repercusiones que tuvo para Europa en los siglos posteriores. Se analizan los procesos del declive de los merovingios y ascenso de los carolingios, la consolidación y expansión del imperio carolingio, la utilización del cristianismo como elemento cohesionador, se describe la administración estatal, el impulso de las letras y la educación a través de la renovatio carolingia como base de su imperio. Se analiza la posterior división y decadencia del imperio, influencia de las segundas invasiones y la herencia y el legado en la cultura occidental, principalmente en Europa.

Abstract:
The objective of this work is to expose the historical phenomenon that was the Carolingian Empire, through an analysis of the processes that made its existence possible, what it entailed during its hegemony, as well as the important repercussions it had for Europe in the following centuries. The processes of the decline of the Merovingians and the rise of the Carolingians are analyzed, the consolidation and expansion of the Carolingian empire, the use of Christianity as a cohesive element, the state administration is described, the promotion of letters and education through renovatio Carolingian as the base of his empire. The subsequent division and decline of the empire, the influence of the second invasions and the inheritance and legacy in Western culture, mainly in Europe, are analyzed.
