IMPACTOS ECONÔMICOS DA CESTA BÁSICA
A fome ainda é uma das questões no mundo contemporâneo
constituindo-se em um problema de segurança alimentar. Porém, o grande dilema
da fome não é exclusivamente a falta de alimentos, mas sim, o preço desses
alimentos. Partindo dessa concepção, o artigo utiliza a metodologia de pesquisa
bibliográfica com objetivo de analisar as implicações econômicas da cesta básica.
As pesquisas revelam que o impacto dos aumentos crescentes de preços dos
elementos componentes da cesta básica em nível global, configura-se em um
atraso ao progresso que tem sido feito em vários países em busca do alcance do
nível desejável de segurança alimentar, ou seja, os impactos econômicos da cesta
básica não ficam restritos apenas aos índices inflacionários, mas também, a um
amplo contexto socioeconômico e cultural das famílias. Em conclusão, no Brasil, a
cesta básica é definida por decreto e, devido a esse fato, tais itens que a compõem
são utilizados como parâmetro para definir o aumento do custo de vida no país,
pois também compõe o Índice Geral de Preços Médios, que mede a inflação oficial
brasileira. Ela também é parâmetro para aumento do Salário Mínimo Nacional e,
tem também influências sociais, tais como: moradia, lazer, educação, entre outros.

Abstract:
Hunger is still one of the issues in the contemporary world, constituting
a problem of food security. However, the great dilemma of hunger is not only the
lack of food, but the price of these foods. Starting from this conception, the article
uses the methodology of bibliographic research with the objective of analyzing the
economic implications of the basic basket. Research shows that the impact of the
increasing price increases of the components of the basic basket at the global level
is a delay in the progress that has been made in several countries in order to reach
the desired level of food security, the economic impacts of the basic basket are not
restricted only to the inflation indexes, but also to a broad socioeconomic and
cultural context of the families. In conclusion, in Brazil, the basic basket is defined
by decree and, due to this fact, these items that make it up are used as a
parameter to define the increase in the cost of living in the country, since it also
composes the General Average Price Index, which measures official Brazilian
inflation. It is also a parameter to increase the National Minimum Wage, and also
has social influences, such as: housing, leisure, education, among others.
