Abstract: In the year 2020, the world was ravaged by a virus called "SARS-CoV-2" where it spread across the country, and as a result of its rapid dissemination, the world ended up taking new changes, which were not present in reality before, thus the political sectors economic and social and, of course, education was affected, and so it was necessary to transpose face-to-face classes to emergency remote teaching (ERE). This study highlights how teachers faced numerous challenges and difficulties in the teaching and learning process and among them stand out, difficulty in using technological means; lack of training; produce content to exhibit in classes; work overload; concern. The general objective of this research was to analyze the challenges faced by Biology teachers in emergency remote teaching in a state high school in the municipality of Salitre - CE. This research is descriptive and exploratory. An online form applied by Google forms was used as a data collection instrument. Data collection took place in June 2022. 06 teachers participated in the research, from the area of Biology, Chemistry and another area. The main results obtained were that: the school did not offer training for teachers in remote teaching (100%), and that many had difficulties using digital tools; teachers used more digital resources such as Google meet (66.7%)and Google Classroom (33.3%); half of the teachers evaluated the new remote modality "Regular" (50%); teachers also responded that most students did not have access to the internet; and according to the answers, students had difficulty following remote classes (100%).Finally, it is expected that with these results obtained, this research will contribute to the development of new scientific research and that more studies can be developed in this teaching area.
