Abstract: Currently, we live in a major environmental crisis, and this is due to several associated factors, with human action being the main responsible for the drastic changes in the climate. The functioning of existing ecosystems is being strongly affected by climate change, resulting in an increase in ambient temperature and a decrease in rainfall in different regions of the world, exposing more and more species and breeds of animals to a stressful condition. The extreme heat to which humans and animals are subject has significant impacts on their health and well-being, just as the lack of water for their drinking has considerable negative impacts. Among the various problems that can be caused by climate change in animals are; changes in the reproductive cycle, eating habits and especially in the physiological and metabolic functioning of animals, which can increase the occurrence of pests and diseases, in addition to impacting productivity, reproduction and animal well-being. Therefore, the objective of this work is to understand the main impacts that climate change has on the physiology of domestic animals.
