Abstract: Childhood respiratory allergies are a significant public health problem, characterized by conditions such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, and rhinoconjunctivitis. In view of this, the present study aims to develop a study on respiratory allergies in childhood and how they can influence the quality of life of these individuals. The methodology used in the study was a literature review, which was based on books and scientific articles from various areas related to the subject. As a result, respiratory allergies in childhood represent an important public health challenge, given their high prevalence and significant impact on the quality of life of children and their families. Factors such as genetic predisposition, exposure to environmental pollutants, viral infections, and lifestyle habits, such as duration of breastfeeding, play crucial roles in the development and worsening of these conditions. In conclusion, integrated strategies involving families, health professionals, and public policies are essential to address this problem and promote children's respiratory health, ensuring healthier development and a better quality of life for children.
