Abstract: Introduction: Physical activity is widely recognized for its health benefits, including disease prevention and improved quality of life. Studies suggest that exercise may positively influence female sexual performance. This study investigates the relationship between physical activity, quality of life, and sexual performance in women who attend gyms. Objective: To evaluate whether physical activity influences women's quality of life and sexual performance by comparing gym-goers with a control group. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional, quantitative, and exploratory study, based on data collected via questionnaires applied to women attending gyms in Criciúma/SC and a control group from the Universidade do Extremo Sul Catarinense - UNESC. The Sexual Quotient - Female Version (QS-F), WHOQOL- BREF, and additional questions designed by the authors were used to characterize the profile of the 40 participants between March and April 2023. Results: A significant difference was found in the Environmental Domain of quality of life between women who engage in physical activity and those in the control group. However, no statistical significance was observed when comparing sexual performance between the groups, suggesting that these impacts may be influenced by social and psychological factors. Conclusion: While physical activity enhances perceived quality of life, its effect on sexual performance remains limited, with no statistically significant differences between the analyzed groups. Women who are physically active report greater environmental satisfaction, which may indirectly contribute to overall well-being. Future studies should consider exercise frequency and intensity, as well as emotional and behavioral factors.
