IMAGENS DOS DESTERRADOS E DO ACRE EM CHARGES: REPRESENTAÇÕES, NARRATIVAS E IMAGINÁRIOS
Este projeto está voltado para
dialogar com narrativas visuais (charges e
fotos) que trazem como temática a expulsão
(desterro) de homens e mulheres no princípio
do século XX para o Acre. Tanto a região
acreana quanto os desterrados, são marcados
no período por diversos signos negativos que
os estereotipam. As análises destas imagens e
representações consistem em leituras diversas
sobre o contexto histórico e social do Acre e Rio
de Janeiro republicano, bem como de leituras
teóricas que possibilitam diálogos de forma
analítica com as imagens. Além disso, a pesquisa
baseia-se em dados dos acervos digitais da
Biblioteca Nacional, que nos habilitaram trilhar
os caminhos da pesquisa histórica e análise
documental e critica das fontes.

Abstract:
This project is focused on building
a dialogue with visual narratives (charges and
photos) that present as theme the removal
(eviction) of men and women in the beginning
of the 20th century in Acre. The Acre territory as
well as those evicted from it, are branded in this
period by multiple negatives labels that have
stereotyped them. The analyses of these images
and representations consist in diverse readings
over the historical and social context of Acre
and the republican Rio de Janeiro, as well as a
theoretical point of view that allows an analytic
dialogue with such images. Furthermore, this
research is based in data from the digital archive
of The National Library that have allowed us to
walk the path of historical research and analyze
critically the source documents.
