IMAGENS DE MULHERES PROFESSORAS NA REVISTA DE EDUCAÇÃO DO ESPÍRITO SANTO – BRASIL (1934-1937): USOS E SIGNFICADOS
Analisa imagens de mulheres professoras capixabas presentes na Revista de Educação, publicada no Espírito Santo no período de 1934 a 1937. Objetiva identificar em que medida as imagens de mulheres professoras se relacionam e/ou se distanciam do discurso oficial difundido na época e compreender como esses retratos reforçam e/ou desconstroem as concepções sociais sobre as mulheres presentes no período estudado. A pesquisa situa-se no campo da História da Educação, baseando a prática historiográfica no método indiciário proposto por Ginzburg (2007, 2006, 2003, 2002, 1989, 1991). Foram utilizados como fontes os seguintes números da Revista de Educação: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7-8, 9 do ano de 1934; 10-11, 12, 13, 14, 15-16, 17-18-19 do ano de1935; 22, 23-24, 25-26-27-28 do ano 1936; 29, 30-31 do ano 1937. Conclui-se que durante os anos de 1934 a 1937, o periódico produzido pela equipe governamental responsável pela educação no Espírito Santo ilustrava os homens educadores como "timoneiros argutos" ou "ilustres pedagogos" na reforma educacional, tendo Bley como líder. Às mulheres eram reservadas as concepções de "conservadoras da espécie" ou "soberanas do lar". As professoras, maioria em relação à quantidade de professores, ínfimas vezes foram citadas como "educadoras de destaque" ou "distintas". Eram elas que estavam em salas de aulas, muitas vezes improvisadas, em que exerciam seu ofício com todas as dificuldades materiais da época, que vão desde a mobília escolar aos salários baixos, submetiam-se aos mandos de chefes patriarcais locais e, ainda, com tudo isso, tinham os homens no comando das teorias, preceitos e normas pedagógicas, com autoridade para lhes dizer o que fazer e como fazê-lo

Abstract:
It analyzes images of women teachers from Espírito Santo present in the Revista de Educação (REES), published in Espírito Santo from 1934 to 1937. It objectify to identify how these portraits reinforce and/or deconstruct the social conceptions about women present in the studied period. A research is situated in the field of History of Education, basing the historiographic practice on the evidential method proposed by Ginzburg (2007, 2006, 2003, 2002, 1989, 1991). The following numbers of Revista de Educação were used as sources: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7-8, 9 from the year 1934; 10-11, 12, 13, 14, 15-16, 17-18-19 of the year 1935; 22, 23-24, 25-26-27-28 of the year 1936; 29, 30-31 of the year 1937. It is concluded that during the years 1934 to 1937, the periodical produced by the government team responsible for education in Espírito Santo illustrated male educators as "shrewd helmsmen" or "illustrious pedagogues" in the educational reform, with Bley as the leader. Women were reserved as "species preservers" or "households" conceptions. As teachers, most in relation to the number of teachers, very few times they were cited as "outstanding educators" or "distinguished". They were the ones who were in classrooms, often improvised, where they exercised their craft with all the material difficulties of the time, ranging from school furniture to low prices, submitted to the orders of local patriarchal chiefs, and even with all of this had men in charge of theories, precepts and pedagogical norms, with the authority to tell them what to do and how to do it.
