IMAGEM X LITERATURA: A REPRESENTAÇÃO DA IMAGEM EM OS MAIAS DE EÇA DE QUEIRÓS
Esse trabalho tem como proposta a
análise e a identificação de signos e referências
visuais propostas pela minuciosidade do
texto de Eça de Queirós (1845-1900). Em
uma comparação do processo de adaptação
do texto literário de Os Maias (1888) para
o audiovisual, mais especificamente a obra
homônima produzida pela Rede Globo (2001),
propõe-se aqui uma investigação comparativa
entre a descrição literária e as escolhas
adaptativas na materialização dos figurinos
e na construção da imagem feminina, Maria
Monfort e Maria Eduarda. Através da análise
intersemiótica, comparando os elementos
descritivos do livro e a imagem desenvolvida e
fortalecida pelo figurino da produção televisiva,
foi possível identificar descrições complexas
que fomentaram o processo de transcriação.

Abstract:
This work has as proposal the
analysis and identification of signs and visual
references proposed by the meticulousness
of the text of Eça de Queirós (1845-1900). In
a comparison of the process of adaptation
of the literary text of Os Maias (1888) to the
audiovisual, more specifically the homonymous
work produced by Rede Globo (2001), it is
proposed here a comparative investigation
between the literary description and the adaptive
choices in the materialization of the costumes
and in the construction of the feminine image,
Maria Monfort and Maria Eduarda. Through
intersemiotic analysis, comparing the descriptive
elements of the book and the image developed
and strengthened by the costumes of television
production, it was possible to identify complex
descriptions that fostered the transcription
process.
