ILEGALIDADE NA EXPLORAÇÃO MADEIREIRA: ESFORÇOS DESENVOLVIDOS PELO BRASIL
A extração madeireira ilegal é um problema que afeta vários países. Diversos fatores como a redução de custos da produção e transporte, a falta de gestão no setor de base florestal, a ausência de investimentos na produção legal, bem como déficits na legislação e nas políticas influenciam para a inserção da ilegalidade no setor madeireiro. O presente estudo tem como objetivo demonstrar os níveis de extração ilegal e apresentar os esforços do Brasil para combater o problema. Políticas e leis foram estabelecidas, contudo, ainda falta o fortalecimento dos órgãos envolvidos. A metodologia utilizada foi uma revisão de literatura e coleta de dados nas seguintes bases: SCIELO, Periódicos CAPES, GOOGLE Acadêmico e dados da Chatham House.

Abstract:
Illegal logging is a problem that affects many countries. Several factors such as reduced production and transportation costs, lack of management in the forestry sector, lack of investments in legal production, as well as deficits in legislation and policies influence the insertion of illegality in the timber sector. The present study aims to demonstrate illegal extraction levels and to present Brazil's efforts to combat the problem. Policies and laws have been established, however, the strengthening of the agencies involved is still lacking. The methodology used was a literature review and data collection in the following databases: SCIELO, CAPES Journals, GOOGLE Scholar and Chatham House data
