IGUALDADE DE GÊNERO E ARTES NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL: relações possíveis
O presente artigo trata das relações de gênero no âmbito escola básica. A escola é uma das instituições necessárias para iniciarmos tal discussão. Partindo desta perspectiva, realizamos uma pesquisa de campo com três professoras e um professor de educação infantil da rede municipal de ensino de São José de Ribamar no Maranhão. Para que a pesquisa fosse realizada, utilizamos um questionário pertinente ao tema em questão. O estudo, à luz de um enfoque teórico metodológico qualitativo, buscou saber como os/as professores/as trabalham as relações de gênero, focalizando no recorte da “igualdade de gênero” dentro da disciplina de artes. Buscamos investigar se ao trabalharem artes, a escolha das obras e artistas faz equiparação ou não com obras de artistas homens e artistas mulheres e, ainda, de como contribuem para a promoção da igualdade de gênero entre seus/as alunos/as. Constatou-se que os/as educadores/as tem divergências significantes em suas opiniões e não conseguem compreender e trabalhar gênero numa perspectiva que possibilite a prática de valores, igualdade e respeito entre meninos e meninas. Além disso, apontaram para a necessidade de um maior investimento na formação de quem atua na Educação Infantil para que efetivamente haja a promoção de práticas educativas não discriminatórias.

Abstract:
This article deals with gender relations in primary school. The school is one of the institutions necessary for us to initiate such a discussion. From this perspective, we carried out a field research with three teachers and a teacher of early childhood education, from the municipal school system of São José de Ribamar of Maranhão. For the research to be carried out, we used a questionnaire relevant to the topic in question. The study, in the light of a qualitative methodological theoretical approach, sought to know how teachers work with gender relations, focusing on “gender equality” within the discipline of arts. We seek to investigate whether, when working with the arts, the choice of works and artists is equivalent or not, with works by male and female artists, and also how they contribute to the promotion of gender equality among their students. It was found that educators have significant differences in their opinions, and are unable to understand and work gender in a perspective that enables the practice of values, equality and respect between boys and girls. In addition, they pointed to the need for greater investment in training those who work in Early Childhood Education so that there is effectively the promotion of non-discriminatory educational practices.
