Abstract: Introduction: The growth of the elderly population in Brazil, driven by greater longevity, has brought significant changes to health care networks. The higher prevalence of chronic diseases and functional disabilities increases the demand for health services, requiring health systems to seek rapid and appropriate responses to meet the needs of different age groups. Objective: Objective: To identify the main causes of immobility in elderly patients receiving home care and the actions carried out by the multidisciplinary team of the Home Care Service in caring for bed-restricted elderly people. Methodology: An Integrative Literature Review was carried out using databases such as SCiELO, LILACS and BDENF, as well as Google Scholar. Articles available in full in Portuguese and English and published between January 2015 and December 2023 were included. Duplicate articles, editorials and preprints were excluded, resulting in a final review with 10 articles. Results: The analysis of the care provided by the multidisciplinary team of the Home Care Service highlighted essential interventions for the rehabilitation of bed-restricted elderly people, highlighting their importance in promoting quality of life and reducing complications associated with immobility. Actions include prescribing and monitoring pharmacotherapy, assessing the risk of pressure ulcers with preventative measures, identifying motor and respiratory deficits, and managing infections. In addition, nutritional assessment is crucial, with a focus on identifying swallowing difficulties and adjusting the diet to ensure adequate nutrient intake. Conclusion: The study highlighted the risk factors that contribute to bed restriction and the actions implemented by the Home Care Service team. It is essential to strengthen these initiatives through local and federal management policies, since they can reduce the demand for hospital admissions and improve the quality of life of the elderly, promoting their well-being.
