Abstract: Since the end of President Dilma's government on August 31, 2016, there has been a significant and growing increase in the presence of military personnel from the Armed Forces (FFAA) in the national political scene, both at the institutional and social levels. The increase in this interference by military personnel from the FFAA in national politics, culminating in their overt participation in the attempted coup on January 8, 2023, after months of leniency in relation to the far-right coup demonstrations that took place in camps near Army barracks throughout Brazil, has reinvigorated the debate on the role of the Armed Forces in the democratic rule of law. This discussion has become even more necessary because the sum of these events has heightened the perception on the part of several organized sectors of civil society, including the academic environment, that the country was or may be at imminent risk of a new institutional rupture, with direct participation of the Armed Forces. It should be added that the Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI) of January 8, whose final report indicted several military leaders for attacks against the Democratic Rule of Law, confirmed the existence of a draft of a coup that was circulating during the throes of the Bolsonaro government. Within this debate, it is very timely to investigate the political ideologies that run through the interior of the barracks, both in training schools and in organizations that house reserve military personnel, given that in the latter, the military is more at ease to express their political expressions. In this sense, the objective of this study was to analyze the political narratives contained in the articles of the magazine published by the Air Force Club, called "Revista da Aeronáutica" with the main purpose of understanding the main political-ideological nuances contained in such articles. The analysis covers the period between 2012 and 2016. The period, therefore, begins with the implementation of the Truth Commission in the Dilma government in 2012, which generated great discontent within the barracks, and ends with her departure in 2016, which triggered a significant increase in the participation of the Armed Forces in the national political scene. Permeating this historical context is Operation Lava-Jato, initiated by the Federal Ministry in March 2014, and the movement created from it, called lavajatismo. It can be observed that all issues of this magazine contain articles that express, in an open and forceful manner, the political worldview of the military, with emphasis on the anti-communist ideology, reflected in most of the writings.
