IDENTIFICAÇÃO DA PRESENÇA DO Staphylococcus spp, DE LEITE DE VACAS COM MASTITE SUBCLÍNICA, NAS PROPRIEDADES LEITEIRAS DA ILHA DE SÃO LUIS.
A mastite se destaca como uma das
principais doenças da bovinocultura leiteira,
causando enormes prejuízos tendo como
principais agentes infecciosos bactérias do
gênero Staphylococcus spp,. Desta forma, foi
objetivo deste experimento identificar a presença
Staphylococcus spp, em leites de vacas com
mastite subclínica das propriedades leiteiras da
Ilha de São Luis, por meio do California Mastitis
Tests (CMT) e das provas de catalase, hemólise
e coagulase. Das 380 amostras avaliadas pelo
CMT, 146 foram positivas ao teste. Destas,
41 (28,28%) apresentaram hemólise, 24
(16,55%) apresentaram-se positivas ao teste
de coagulase, e 40 (27,59%) apresentaramse fortemente positivas à prova da catalase.
Em todas as propriedades, avaliadas nesta
pesquisa, tiveram animais positivos quando
submetidos ao CMT. Sendo o principal microorganismo envolvido nos casos de Mastite
pertence ao gênero Staphylococcus spp.

Abstract:
Mastitis stands out as one of the
main diseases of dairy cattle, causing enormous
damages having as main infectious agents
bacteria of the genus Staphylococcus spp.
Thus, it was the objective of this experiment
to identify the presence of Staphylococcus
spp in cows with subclinical mastitis of dairy
farms of the Island of São Luis, using California
Mastitis Tests (CMT) and the tests of catalase,
hemolysis and coagulase. Of the 380 samples
evaluated by the CMT, 146 were positive to the
test. Of these, 41 (28.28%) had hemolysis, 24
(16.55%) were positive for the coagulase test,
and 40 (27.59%) were strongly positive for the
catalase test. In all the properties, evaluated in
this research, they had positive animals when
submitted to CMT. Being the main microorganism
involved in Mastitis cases belongs to the genus
Staphylococcus spp.
