A revisão historiográfica trouxe a
perspectiva de um Império Marítimo Português
contendo partes autônomas e um novo
significado para nossa história colonial. Com
Goiás não é diferente. Assim, é necessária uma
nova relação entre história, literatura do período
em si e a que faz menção a ele. Partindo de uma
nova historiografia sobre a região, o presente
estudo tem como objetivo investigar a formação
da identidade goiana manifestada em noções
de atraso e progresso contidas na obra Tropas
e boiadas, de Hugo de Carvalho Ramos.

Abstract:
The historiographical review
brought the perspective of a Portuguese
Maritime Empire containing autonomous parts
and a new meaning for our colonial history. With
Goiás is not different. Thus, a new relationship
between history, literature of the period itself
and the one that mentions him. Starting from
a new historiography about the region, the
presente study aims investigate the formation of
identity of Goiás manifested in notions of delay
and progress contained in the work Tropas e
Boiadas, by Hugo de Carvalho Ramos.
