HORTA VERTICAL COM GARRAFAS PET: CONSCIENTIZAÇÃO E CIDADANIA EM UMA ESCOLA PÚBLICA DE CARUARU-PE
Esse estudo teve como justificativa perceber a partir de estratégias
didáticas na ambiente escolar, a ação transformadora de jovens por meio da
reciclagem, permitindo um olhar reflexivo da realidade a qual está inserido, Foi
realizada a construção de uma horta escolar vertical, com o intuito de dar um destino
ecologicamente correto para as garrafas pet, além de utilizar a plantação de
sementes, buscando promover o reconhecimento das plantas, sua morfologia,
fisiologia e benefícios para o corpo humano. Vale salientar que o ensino partiu dos
conhecimentos prévios dos alunos, promovendo maior motivação e internalização
no processo de aprendizagem, vindo estimular e orientar os educandos a exercer
sua responsabilidade socioambiental, bem como, obter uma visão ampla e
ressignificada mediante a compreensão e seleção dos alimentos que devem ser
consumidos. A pesquisa realizada é de caráter bibliográfico e análise qualitativa dos
dados, com o uso do questionário estruturado. Fizeram parte da pesquisa 85 alunos
dos 2º ano A e B do Ensino médio, realizada nos meses de fevereiro a dezembro de
2015. Os alunos arrecadaram um total de 80 garrafas pet para a construção da horta
vertical. Este estudo direcionou e educou os alunos a refletirem sobre formas de
reutilizar o que para eles eram considerados “lixo”, contribuindo para que os mesmos
obtivessem a percepção que se pode criar meios alternativos, que viabilize a
construção de uma horta em qualquer ambiente, favorecendo uma atitude
transformadora para o meu ambiente e o exercício do papel cidadão.

Abstract:
This study had as justification to understand the didactic strategies in the
school environment, the transforming action of young people through recycling,
allowing a reflective look of reality that is inserted. It was carried out the construction
of a vertical school garden, with the goal of giving an ecologically correct destination
for the PET bottles, besides planting seeds, seeking to promote the recognition of
plants, their morphology, physiology and benefits for the human body. It is worth
noting that the teaching started from the students' previous knowledge, promoting
greater motivation and internalization in the learning process, encouraging and
orienting the students to exercise their social and environmental responsibility, as
well as obtaining a broad and re-meaningful vision through the understanding and
selection of foods, which should be consumed. The research carried out has
bibliographic character and qualitative analysis of the data, with the use of the
structured questionnaire. The survey included 85 students from the 2nd year A and
B of the High School, held from February to December 2015. The students collected
80 PET bottles for the construction of the vertical vegetable garden. This study
directed and educated the students to reflect on ways to reuse what they considered
”junk", contributing to their perception that alternative means can be created,
allowing the construction of a garden in any environment, favoring a transforming
attitude for the environment and the exercise of the citizen's role.
