HORTA ORGÂNICA EM ESCOLA MUNICIPAL COMO INSTRUMENTO DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL
A implantação de uma horta foi utilizada como instrumento de educação ambiental, através de projeto piloto na Escola Municipal Usina do Mimoso – Polo – sala Antônia Cassetta Santa Rosa, área rural do município de Ribas do Rio Pardo, Mato Grosso do Sul. Objetivou-se averiguar os benefícios socioambientais para os alunos, professores e comunidade inseridos no processo de implantação da horta. Utilizando-se pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo, foi implantada a horta por meio do sistema natural, que permite alcançar bons níveis de produtividade isenta de agrotóxicos. Após a instalação, foram efetuados registros fotográficos e observações, propondo aos alunos (cinco turmas, 5º, 6º, 7º, 8º e 9º anos do ensino Fundamental I e II), a reflexão sobre as questões ambientais. Neste processo, foram destacadas as oportunidades a todos no envolvimento na gestão dos recursos naturais. Concluiu-se que, com a implantação da horta, além da possibilidade de introdução de temas relacionados à educação ambiental, houve uma participação efetiva dos pais no planejamento e execução do empreendimento, permitindo a criação de um vínculo maior dos educandos com a escola. Com a estratégia adotada, observou-se que os alunos se tornaram mais assíduos, com maior interesse em participar das atividades, passando a ter mais respeito e cuidado com a natureza. Foi observado que alunos que não gostavam de verduras, após a implementação da horta, passaram a ingerir com mais frequência os produtos que cultivaram. Os pais afirmaram que a atividade despertou o interesse em se alimentarem de forma mais saudável, além de se preocuparem com a natureza. Afirmaram, ainda, que com a experiência adquirida e a vivência no ambiente escolar, é possível ter a sua própria horta de uma maneira simples, sem grandes custos, evitando a contaminação do solo e da água, preservando e respeitando a natureza e proporcionando melhor qualidade de vida a toda comunidade.

Abstract:
The implementation of a vegetable garden was used as an instrument of environmental education, through a pilot project at the Municipal School Usina do Mimoso - Polo - Antonia Cassetta Santa Rosa room, rural area of the municipality of Ribas do Rio Pardo, Mato Grosso do Sul. The objective was to ascertain the socio-environmental benefits for students, teachers and the community inserted in the process of implanting the market-garden. Using bibliographic and field research, the market-garden was implanted through the natural system, which allows achieving good levels of productivity free of pesticides. After installation, photographic records and observations were made, proposing to the students (five classes, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th years of elementary school I and II), to reflect on environmental issues. In this process, opportunities were highlighted for everyone to get involved in the management of natural resources. It was concluded that, with the implementation of the vegetable garden, in addition to enabling the introduction of themes related to environmental education, there was an effective participation of parents in the planning and execution of the enterprise, allowing the creation of a greater link with the school. With the strategy adopted, it was observed that students became more assiduous, with a greater interest in participating in activities, starting to have more respect and care for nature. It was observed that students who did not like vegetables, after implementing the arket-garden, started to eat the products they cultivated more frequently. Parents say that the activity sparked interest in eating healthier, in addition to being concerned with nature. They also state that, with the experience acquired in the school, it is possible to have your own garden in a simple way, without great costs, avoiding soil and water contamination, preserving and respecting nature and providing a better quality of life for the whole community.
