HISTÓRIA, MEIO AMBIENTE, DESENVOLVIMENTO SUSTENTÁVEL E IMPACTOS DAS MONOCULTURAS NO SUL DA BAHIA
O presente trabalho tem o intuito de trazer algumas reflexões a respeito da História, História Ambiental, Desenvolvimento sustentável e os impactos das monoculturas do sul da Bahia. A região caracterizada como sul da Bahia é composta por 21 municípios que viu a chegada da monocultura, diga-se de passagem, o plantio do eucalipto. Compreender os aspectos econômicos de ocupação de nosso país nos remeta a exploração do pau-brasil, o plantio da cana-de-açúcar no Nordeste, assim como a “exploração” da Mata Atlântica. É sabido que a monocultura traz consequências drásticas para o solo, assim como para a economia, acentuando o êxodo rural.

Abstract:
The present work aims to bring some reflections about History, Environmental History, Sustainable Development and the impacts of monocultures in the south of Bahia. The region characterized as the south of Bahia is composed of 21 municipalities that saw the arrival of monoculture, by the way, the planting of eucalyptus. Understanding the economic aspects of the occupation of our country leads us to the exploitation of Brazilwood, the planting of sugarcane in the Northeast, as well as the "exploitation" of the Atlantic Forest. It is known that monoculture has drastic consequences for the soil, as well as for the economy, accentuating the rural exodus.
