HISTOMETRIA DOS TESTICULOS DE OVINOS: ASPECTOS COMPARATIVOS ENTRE O PERIODO SECO E CHUVOSO DO ANO NA REGIAO SUL DO ESTADO PIAUÍ
Objetivou-se a influência de diferentes temperaturas ambientes e umidade relativa do ar sobre a morfologia testicular de ovinos criados no município de Bom Jesus – PI. Foram utilizados 10 animais com idade entre 2 e 3 anos. Os testículos foram seccionados e fixados em solução de Bouin por 24h. Os fragmentos foram submetidos ao processamento histológico e emblocados em parafina. Cortes histológicos de 4µm de espessura foram corados com hematoxilina-eosina. Foram avaliadas a proporção volumétrica dos compartimentos testiculares, o diâmetro dos túbulos seminíferos e altura do epitélio seminífero. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância a 5% de probabilidade. Os resultados revelaram que o valor do diâmetro tubular foi de 164,2 ± 7,60 e 192,05 ± 38,91 µm e a altura do epitélio seminífero foi de 46,80 ± 7,78 e 61,92 ± 13,06 µm nos períodos seco e chuvoso, respectivamente. Todos os valores da proporção volumétrica dos componentes testiculares mostraram diferença significativa entre os períodos do ano, sendo que os valores foram melhores no período chuvoso. Com base nos resultados, pode-se concluir que o período do ano interfere na morfologia testicular.

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to influence the different ambient temperatures and relative humidity on the testicular morphology of sheep raised in Bom Jesus - PI. Ten animals aged 2 to 3 years were used. The testes were sectioned and fixed in Bouin's solution for 24h. The fragments were submitted to histological processing and embedded in paraffin. Histological sections of 4µm thickness were stained with hematoxylin-eosin. The volumetric proportion of the testicular compartments, the diameter of the seminiferous tubules and the height of the seminiferous epithelium were evaluated. Data were subjected to analysis of variance at 5% probability. The results revealed that the value of the tubular diameter was 164.2 ± 7.60 and 192.05 ± 38.91 µm and the height of the seminiferous epithelium was 46.80 ± 7.78 and 61.92 ± 13.06. µm in the dry and rainy periods, respectively. All values of the volumetric proportion of the testicular components showed significant difference between the periods of the year, and the values were better in the rainy season. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the period of the year interferes with the testicular morphology
