HISTIOCITOSE DE CÉLULAS DE LANGERHANS: DIAGNÓSTICO CLÍNICO-RADIOLÓGICO / LANGERHANS CELL HISTIOCYTOSIS: CLINICAL-RADIOLOGIAL DIAGNOSIS
A Histiocitose de células de Langerhans é uma doença rara que apresenta como principal característica a proliferação de macrófagos e células dendríticas. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o papel dos métodos de diagnóstico por imagem dessa patologia. Foi realizada uma revisão de literatura, sendo usadas as bases de dados Lilacs, PubMed e Scielo. Usou-se os descritores Histiocitose, Histiocitose X e Diagnóstico por Imagem. Foram encontrados 9 artigos que seguiram os critérios de inclusão previamente definidos. A Histiocitose de células de Langerhans é uma patologia com várias apresentações clínicas, sendo que a escolha dos métodos de imagem para investigação diagnóstica dependerá das manifestações apresentadas pelo paciente. Concluiu-se que os métodos imagenológicos iniciais que pode ser utilizados são a Radiografia e a Ultrassonografia e, para aprofundamento da investigação, é necessário fazer uso da Tomografia Computadorizada e da Ressonância Magnética.

Abstract:
Langerhans cell Histiocytosis is a rare condition that is mainly characterized by the proliferation of macrophages and dendritic cells. This study review aimed to evaluate the role played by medical imaging when diagnosing this pathology. It was carried out a literature review using the Lilacs, PubMed, and Scielo databases, employing the descriptors Histiocytosis, Histiocytosis X, and Medical Imaging. It was found 9 papers that followed the inclusion criteria previously established. Langerhans cell Histiocytosis is a pathology with several clinical presentations, and the choice of imaging methods for the diagnostic investigation depends on the patient's signs and symptoms. It was concluded that, initially, the possible imaging methods are Radiography and Ultrasound, whereas, for further investigation, it is necessary to use Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
