O Hip Hop é considerado um

movimento artístico de contestação social

que forma um sistema simbólico orientador

das práticas culturais e das atitudes juvenis

possibilitando a cidadania e o reconhecimento

social. Esta pesquisa teve por objetivo

descrever e analisar a utilização do Hip

Hop como estratégia para a construção da

identidade, conscientização, participação e

inclusão social de jovens inseridos no cotidiano

de comunidades periféricas na perspectiva

dos direitos culturais. O estudo consistiu num

estudo de caso, de abordagem qualitativa.

A coleta de dados ocorreu durante um ano

a partir de 10 entrevistas semiestruturadas

e filmagem de oficinas artístico-culturais no

contexto terapêutico ocupacional, atuando na

interface entre o campo social, o campo cultural

e o campo da educação não formal. A análise

de conteúdo temática gerou três categorias

temáticas: Construção da identidade e resgate

da trajetória de vida; hip hop como expressão da

realidade social; Inclusão e participação social.

A pesquisa sugere que o Hip Hop pode ser um

recurso pertinente nas práticas socioeducativas,

possibilitando a reflexão crítica de jovens em

situação de vulnerabilidade social sobre os

seus contextos, no resgate da trajetória de vida,

construção identitária e participação social.

Abstract:
Hip Hop is considered an artistic

movement of social protest, which forms a

symbolic guiding system of cultural practices

and youth attitudes, enabling citizenship and

social recognition. This study aimed to describe

and analyze the use of hip hop as a strategy

for the construction of identity, awareness,

participation and social inclusion of young people

in the daily life of peripheral communities from

the perspective of cultural rights. This is a case

study with a qualitative approach. Data collection

took place over a year using 10 semi-structured

interviews and footage of artistic and cultural

workshops in the occupational therapeutic context, working at the interface between

the social, the cultural field and the field of non-formal education. The thematic content

analysis created three themes: Identity Construction and rescue the life course; Hip

Hop as an expression of social reality; Social inclusion and participation. This research

suggests that Hip Hop can be a useful resource in socio-educational practices, enabling

critical reflection of young people in social vulnerability on their contexts, the rescue of

the life course, identity construction and social participation.
