Abstract: Digestive bleeding is a very important issue due to its prevalence, especially children and adolescents, who can also present and are more susceptible to complications. The clinical manifestations are bleeding from the digestive tract such as hematemesis, hematochezia and melena, according to the location of the hemorrhage, which can already be suspected from the patient's history and physical examination. Endoscopic exams are the ones of choice for most gastrointestinal hemorrhages, and are widely used in clinical practice to aid in diagnosis and treatment, especially after their technological evolution over time. The patient's age and symptoms may indicate the cause of the bleeding. Other complementary imaging tests and a more invasive approach such as surgery may be necessary, especially in patients with hemodynamic instability. Approaching the patient with a good clinical history and hemodynamic stabilization are essential in the approach and treatment of pediatric patients with gastrointestinal tract hemorrhage.
