Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the impact of hemodialysis on the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Methods: Integrative review on hemodialysis and the impact of the procedure on patients' lives. Data were collected from scientific trials published from 2019 to 2024. Results: 51.43% of patients positively evaluated their health, and 77.14% reported difficulty performing activities requiring greater physical effort. In generic dimensions, social function was the worst evaluated, while emotional well-being and physical functioning were the best evaluated. In specific dimensions, cognitive function, sexual function, and the quality of social interaction were the worst evaluated, while professional role, assistance, and sleep were better evaluated. Conclusion: The study demonstrates the importance of physical activity and maintaining good nutritional status on the quality of life of dialysis patients, as well as the need for integrated and multidisciplinary interventions to monitor these practices and changes.
