Abstract: This article reports on the implementation of a proposal for cultural action with mediation promoted by a librarian through the Harry Potter works that was developed at the Centro de Memória Digital Profª Enedina Chagas. The main objective of the development of the cultural action developed was the development of readers. The target audience was adolescent readers, who experienced a planned procedure of reading mediation in the institution's media library. The article was written with the aim of describing the experience with adolescents linked to the Centro de Excelência em Educação Profº Udilson Soares Ribeiro, located in Simão Dias/SE. The experience was based on literary mediation, as a theoretical and practical basis for the critical and active reading of the selected work, which can contribute to the maturation of interpersonal relationships and the construction of knowledge in non-formal educational spaces. The reported action had a methodology structured in action research and qualitative and quantitative, concretized in the development of cultural action in literary mediation. With the aim of reporting the discussion of transversal themes as an educational action in the field of literary reading, the issue of bullying was highlighted as one of the themes of dialogue in the rereading of J. K. Rowling's collection.
