Habitando a costa e o mar: um estudo sobre as maritimidades no leste do Uruguai.
Distintas formas de conocer, experimentar y habitar el mar y la costa, dan cuenta de procesos en ese espacio en el cual confluyen variadas prácticas. En este artículo trato de tres en particular: el surf, las investigaciones en biología, la pesca artesanal. Presento reflexiones surgidas de la etnografía que realicé en el marco de mi tesis de doctorado, cuya intención fue dar sentido y mapear dichas experiencias. Con tal propósito me sumergí en las maritimidades buscando aportar a las discusiones teóricas sobre el estudio de la relación de los grupos sociales con el entorno y sobre las formas de socialización del ambiente en la exploración social de sus bienes. Teniendo en cuenta, asimismo, que en el estudio de las diversas prácticas surgieron aspectos que hacen a la particularidad de la historicidad del entorno, a políticas públicas, representaciones sociales, distintas ontologías, diversas materialidades y cartografías múltiples. En este articulo me detendré en las convergencias entre las prácticas mencionadas, específicamente en lo que refiere a las experiencias multisensoriales en la cotidianeidad de las prácticas y en la trasmisión de las mismas. Así como la importancia del “estar ahí” para los actores sociales y para el desarrollo de esta investigación.

Abstract:
Different ways of knowing, experiencing and inhabiting the sea and the coast, give account of processes in that space in which various practices converge. In this article I treat three in particular: surfing, biology research, artisanal fishing. I present some reflections arising from the ethnography that I carried out in the framework of my doctoral thesis, whose intention was to give meaning and to map those experiences. With this purpose I immersed myself in coastal territorialities seeking to contribute to the theoretical discussions on the study of the relationship of social groups with the environment and on the forms of socialization of the environment in the social exploration of their goods. Bearing in mind also that in the study of the different practices, aspects emerged that make the particularity of the historicity of the environment, public policies, social representations, different ontologies, diverse materialities and multiple cartographies. In this article I will focus on the convergences between the practices mentioned, specifically regarding multi-sensory experiences at the coast and the sea and its transmission. As well as the importance of "being there" for social actors and for the development of this research.
