Golpe de 1964: Interação, escolhas e negociações entre atores políticos
Em 1964 ocorre um golpe de Estado no Brasil onde uma coalização sobre o pretexto que afastaria e protegeria o país dos comunistas, dos civis corruptos e que promoveria desenvolvimento econômico afastou do poder o Presidente da República, João Goulart, eleito legitimamente pelo povo brasileiro. Em que condições civis e militares se uniram para derrubar um Presidente da República? Quais foram as interações, escolhas e negociações dos principais atores políticos envolvidos nessa dinâmica histórica? O Presidente João Goulart através de negociações políticas poderia ter evitado o golpe de 1964 ou ao menos dificultado a ação dos golpistas? Este presente trabalho tem como objetivo estudar a dinâmica das conspirações que foram responsáveis pela derrubada do Presidente João Goulart, ou seja, reconstruir sistematicamente como ocorreu este fato histórico: os principais atores, as alternativas postas aos diferentes atores, as tensões e também as colaborações entre os civis e militares. O conjunto de tais conspirações se concretiza com uma militar – iniciada na madrugada do dia 31 de março 1964, com o general Olímpio Mourão Filho, após o Presidente João Goulart fazer um discurso favorável as reformas de base e uma civil que ocorre na madrugada do dia 2 de abril, quando o senador Auro de Moura Andrade declarou vaga a Presidência da República diante do Presidente do Supremo Tribunal Federal, Álvaro Ribeiro da Costa, com João Goulart ainda em território nacional.

Abstract:
In 1964, a coup took place in Brazil, where a coalition on the pretext that would remove and protect the country from communists, from corrupt civilians and that would promote economic development removed the President of the Republic, João Goulart, who was legitimately elected by the Brazilian people. Under what civil and military conditions did they come together to overthrow a President of the Republic? What were the interactions, choices and negotiations of the main political actors involved in this historical dynamic? Could President João Goulart, through political negotiations, have avoided the 1964 coup or at least made it difficult for the coup makers to act? This present work aims to study the dynamics of the conspiracies that were responsible for the overthrow of President João Goulart, that is, to systematically reconstruct how this historical fact occurred: the main actors, the alternatives put to the different actors, the tensions and also the collaborations between civilians and military. The set of such conspiracies materializes with a military one - started in the early morning of March 31, 1964, with General Olímpio Mourão Filho, after President João Goulart made a favorable speech to the basic reforms and a civil one that occurs in the early hours of the day April 2, when Senator Auro de Moura Andrade declared the Presidency of the Republic vacant before the President of the Federal Supreme Court, Álvaro Ribeiro da Costa, with João Goulart still in national territory.
