GLOSSÁRIO ILUSTRADO DE GENÉTICA: FERRAMENTA PARA APLICAÇÃO NO ENSINO
O ensino de biologia, principalmente na área da genética apresenta alguns desafios que podem comprometer o processo de aprendizagem dos alunos, dificultando o entendimento e provocando desinteresse por parte dos discentes. Alguns dos principais problemas são o grande número de nomenclaturas cientificas que envolvem a genética e a escassez de materiais didáticos que auxiliam na compreensão do conteúdo. Sendo assim, viu-se a necessidade da confecção de um glossário ilustrado, que tem como objetivo associar os termos científicos, suas definições e ilustrações que auxiliem no processo de entendimento. Para isso foram selecionados três livros do ensino superior que apresentassem elevado número de termos científicos. Por meio dos livros foram catalogados os termos e suas respectivas definições. Após a fase de escolha dos termos as ilustrações foram confeccionadas com a ajuda de um programa de criação de ilustrações. Todo o material confeccionado foi organizado em um modelo de E-book que será disponibilizado gratuitamente na internet, permitindo fácil acesso dos discentes e demais interessados.

Abstract:
The teaching of biology, especially in the area of genetics, presents some challenges that may compromise the estudants’ learning process, making it difficult for students to understand and disinterest. Some of the main problems are the large number of scientific nomenclatures involving genetics and the scarcity of teaching materials that help in understanding the content. Thus, we saw the need to make an illustrated glossary, which aims to associate the scientific terms, their definitions and illustrations that help in the process of understanding. For this, three higher educations books were selected that presented a high number of scientific terms. Through the books were cataloged the terms and their respective definitions. After the term selection phase, the illustrations were made with the help of na illustration creation program. All the material made was organized in a E-book template that will be freely available on the internet, allowing easy acess for studants and other interested parties.
