Abstract: The aim of this study is to map out the main participatory democratic regulations of the IFS, which students can use to act directly in school management, given that the knowledge of the normative instruments is little known by the students, and this is reflected in the elections for the higher council. A bibliographical study of the IFS's main internal regulations revealed that most of them do not contain concepts or clarifications on what participatory democratic management is, which has an impact on the critical position of students, given that democratic spaces are poorly publicized and thus student participation in school management is hampered.
