GEOGRAFIA DA DISPERSÃO ECONÔMICA DO PRONAF NO MARANHÃO
O reconhecimento da agricultura
camponesa justifica a criação de um ambiente
institucional favorável para o desenvolvimento
de suas atividades de base sustentável e
em consonância com as novas demandas
ambientais às quais o planeta vem sendo
submetido. A presente pesquisa objetiva
verificar a ação do PRONAF no âmbito do
estado do Maranhão, analisando a política
do programa e os impactos econômicos que
a mesma vem provocando nas economias
locais e na vida dos beneficiários. Para tanto,
buscou-se identificar e analisar os impactos do
volume de recursos do PRONAF em relação
ao PIB estadual. Verificando-se os entraves
encontrados pelos camponeses na aquisição do
credito, e a aplicação dessa política no estado,
as mudanças por ela causadas e a relevância
para as famílias.

Abstract:
The recognition of peasant
agriculture justifies the creation of a favorable
institutional environment for the development of
its sustainable base activities and in line with the
new environmental demands to which the planet
has been subjected. The present investigation
aims to verify the action of PRONAF within the
framework of the state of Maranhão, analyzing
the policy of the program and the economic
impacts that it has been causing in the local
economies and in the lives of the beneficiaries.
To do this, we sought to identify and analyze the
impacts of PRONAF’s volume of resources in
relation to the state GDP. Seeing the obstacles
encountered by farmers in the acquisition of
credit, and the application of that policy in
the state, the changes caused by it and the
relevance for families.
