GENÉTICA FORENSE APLICADA À INVESTIGAÇÃO DE CRIMES SEXUAIS
As ciências forenses, em sua abordagem multidisciplinar, vêm sendo amplamente utilizada na investigação de casos do sistema de justiça criminal. Neste contexto, uma das suas subdivisões conhecida como DNA forense (ou genética forense) utiliza de técnicas moleculares a fim de vincular uma evidência de origem biológica à um suspeito através de seu DNA. Deste modo, este capítulo tem como objetivo discutir o uso do DNA forense como ferramenta para a solução de crimes sexuais. Para tanto, foram realizadas buscas nas base de dados: PubMed, Google acadêmico e Scielo. Além disso, também foram pesquisados artigos nas bases jurídicas do país. Foram incluídos artigos em português e inglês que pudessem fundamentar a discussão sobre a aplicação do DNA forense na investigação de crimes sexuais. Como resultado, foi possível identificar que o DNA forense pode ser extremamente útil na investigação forense de crimes pela possibilidade de associação entre o conteúdo genético presente nos fluidos coletados na situação do crime com o DNA do suspeito. A genética forense constitui-se de um excelente ferramenta na investigação de crimes mas seu uso tem sido limitado por fatores econômicos.

Abstract:
Forensic science, in its multidisciplinary approach, has been widely used in the investigation of cases in the criminal justice system. In this context, one of its subdivisions known as forensic DNA (or forensic genetics) using molecular techniques in order to link evidence of biological origin to a suspect through their DNA. Thus, this chapter aims to discuss the use of forensic DNA as a tool for solving sex crimes. Therefore, searches were performed in the databases: PubMed, Academic Google and Scielo. In addition, articles in the country's legal bases were also searched. Articles in Portuguese and English that could directly or indirectly support the discussion on the application of forensic DNA in the investigation of sexual crimes were included. As a result, it was possible to identify that forensic DNA can be extremely useful in forensic investigation of crimes by the possibility of associating the genetic content present in the fluids collected in the crime situation with the suspect's DNA. Forensic genetic is an excellent tool in the investigation of crimes, but its use has been limited by economic factors.
