GÊNERO E VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA A MULHER COMO FOCO DE ATENÇÃO NOS CURSOS DE GRADUAÇÃO NA ÁREA DE SAÚDE
Objetivo: realizar reflexão sobre a
violência contra a mulher enquanto violência
de gênero e a importância da inserção do tema
nos cursos de graduação na área de saúde.
Metodologia: Reflexão realizada entre agosto
de 2015 e julho de 2016. Para atingir o objetivo
proposto foi realizado uma busca de publicações
relacionadas ao tema violência contra a mulher
e violência de gênero, visando ampliar o
conhecimento sobre a temática em tela, além
de possibilitar reflexão sobre a necessidade de
inserção do tema nas grades curriculares dos
cursos de graduação na área de saúde. Para
a elaboração do texto foram utilizados artigos
publicados em revistas científicas da área de
saúde, livros, legislação brasileira referente à
violência contra a mulher, por se tartar de um
agravo de notificação obrigatória. Resultados:
Os resultados permitiram identificar que não
há uma forma sistematizada para atuação dos
profissionais de saúde diante da violência,
e isso ocorre em virtude da complexidade
do fenômeno. Desta forma, a abordagem do
tema nos cursos de graduação da área de
saúde é fundamental, pois contribuirá com a
formação de profissionais capacitados para
perceber, reconhecer e intervir no tratamento
e na prevenção deste agravo. Conclusão: a
inserção do tema na graduação contribui para
que ocorra uma mudança na forma de pensar e
de agir dos profissionais, com vistas à promoção
da igualdade de gênero e redução da violência.

Abstract:
Objective: To reflect on violence
against women as gender violence and the importance of inserting the theme in
undergraduate courses in health. Methodology: Reflection held between August 2015
and July 2016. To achieve the proposed objective, a search was made for publications
related to the theme violence against women and gender violence, aiming to broaden
the knowledge on the theme on screen, as well as allowing reflection about the need to
insert the theme in the curricula of undergraduate courses in health. For the elaboration
of the text, articles published in health scientific journals, books, Brazilian legislation on
violence against women were used, as they are an obligatory notification. Results: The
results allowed us to identify that there is no systematic way for health professionals to
act in the face of violence, and this is due to the complexity of the phenomenon. Thus,
the approach of the subject in undergraduate courses in health is fundamental, as it will
contribute to the formation of professionals able to understand, recognize and intervene
in the treatment and prevention of this condition. Conclusion: the inclusion of the
theme in the undergraduate program contributes to a change in the way professionals
think and act, with a view to promoting gender equality and reducing violence.
