Gênero e Produção de Conhecimento na Área de Serviço Social
Esse trabalho objetiva analisar
criticamente o processo de produção do
conhecimento do serviço social sobre gênero
entre os anos de 1982 a 2010. Para tanto, dentro
do universo de 183 dissertações vinculadas à
área de concentração da Política Social, foram
analisados 17 obras que abordam gênero no
Programa de Pós-Graduação em Serviço Social/
UFPB. Tipifica-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica
embasada na metodologia do estado da arte.
O presente estudo realizou-se a partir de três
indicadores de análises, a saber: temáticos,
palavras-chave e áreas de conhecimento.
A perspectiva teórico-metodológica adotada
é o materialismo histórico-dialético. Dentre
os principais resultados no universo das 183
(78,2%) dissertações vinculadas a área de
concentração da Política Social, constatouse
que a categoria temática gênero aparece
como a quarta categoria mais estudada,
representando 17 (9,2%) das obras. Conclui-se
que, dentro do total das dissertações analisadas
a temática gênero é um objeto investigativo
pouco estudado no PPGSS/UFPB.

Abstract:
This paper aims to critically
analyze the process of knowledge production of
social service on gender between the years 1982
to 2010. To do so, within the universe of 183
dissertations linked to the area of concentration
of Social Policy, were analyzed 17 works that
address gender in the Post-Graduation Program
in Social Work / UFPB. It typifies a bibliographical
research based on the methodology of the state
of the art. The present study was carried out
from three analysis indicators, namely: thematic,
keywords and areas of knowledge. The
theoretical-methodological perspective adopted
is historical-dialectical materialism. Among the
main results in the universe of 183 (78.2%)
dissertations linked to the area of concentration
of Social Policy, it was verified that the thematic
category of gender appears as the fourth most
studied category, representing 17 (9.2%) of the
works . It is concluded that, within the total of the analyzed dissertations, the gender
theme is an investigative object little studied in the PPGSS / UFPB.
