Abstract: The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a study carried out every three years and reports on the performance of 15-year-old students in reading, mathematics and science with the aim of improving the quality of learning. In 2015, less than 1% of Brazilian students reached the highest levels of the science proficiency scale. The 2019 and 2022 exams show that Brazil's results in science are below the OECD world average. Experimentation has emerged as a complementary option in science teaching to alleviate this problem, as it is an example of active methodology, which presents chemistry as an experimental science, requiring this practical approach for a better understanding of phenomena. The work proposes the manufacture of bath jelly in the format of an educational workshop, using the following ingredients: Xanthan Gum; Glycerin; Lauryl and Water. It is possible to address topics such as polarity, solutions, saponification, among others, in high school. Chemistry is presented as an instrument that facilitates life in society because students will know the function of each ingredient and can adjust the measurements to their needs, as well as using low-cost materials that are easily accessible.
