Abstract: Thinking about football at school means, above all, having a critical look at its presence and seeking new teaching proposals that go beyond just playing football. This article aims to explore a pedagogical practice based on games that allows expanding the development of football culture in the school context. Using the action research approach, we will discuss the proposal of Collective Sports Games (JEC), which uses games that involve students in problem situations that are encountered during the football match. As a result, we were able to conclude that teaching football through JEC proved to be effective in the research universe and could be an alternative for any teacher who intends to teach sports content in classes beyond traditional methods.
