Este artigo objetivou trazer uma

reflexão sobre os fundamentos filosóficos

que norteiam a temática ambiental e suas

contribuições para o debate com o processo

educativo. A discussão da concepção de

“natureza” ao longo da história traz elementos

para o debate ambiental e a educação. Vivemos

atualmente um momento de crise ambiental,

que advém da forma como o ser humano alterou

e modificou as paisagens naturais, gerando

tamanho impacto, ocasionando uma crise

socioambiental. Todas essas transformações

alteraram o modo de vida de todas as espécies

vivas, comprometendo não somente a qualidade

e garantia de vida presente, mas sim as dos

seres que virão. A educação tem um potencial

muito grande em poder pesquisar, conhecer e

propagar conhecimentos sobre a complexidade

ambiental, mas o que falta é uma dimensão

histórica, ética e política.

Abstract:
This article aimed to draw a

reflection on the philosophical foundations

that North American and thematic and their

contributions to the debate with the educational

process. A discussion of the concept of

“nature” throughout history brings elements for

environmental debate and education. We live in

the moment of the environmental crisis, which

comes from the way in which the human being

altered and modified as natural landscapes,

generating a great impact, causing a social and

environmental crisis. All these changes have

changed the way of life of all living species,

compromising not only a quality and guarantee of

present life, but also of the beings that will come.

Education has a great potential in researching,

knowing and propagating knowledge about

environmental complexity, but what is lacking is

a historical, ethical and political dimension.
