FUNCIONAMENTO FAMILIAR E AUTOESTIMA EM ESTUDANTES PERUANOS DO ENSINO BÁSICO REGULAR
O objetivo desta pesquisa foi determinar a relação entre funcionamento familiar e a autoestima de alunos do sétimo ciclo do ensino fundamental regular de uma instituição pública de ensino em Puerto Maldonado, Peru. A abordagem foi quantitativa, o delineamento não experimental e o tipo descritivo correlacional. A amostra foi composta por 203 alunos aos quais se aplicou a Escala de Avaliação da Coesão e Adaptabilidade Familiar e o Teste de Autoestima para Escolares, instrumentos com propriedades psicométricas adequadas. De acordo com os resultados, o coeficiente de correlação rho de Spearman entre funcionamento familiar e a autoestima foi de 0,753 com valor de p abaixo do nível de significância (p<0,05). Da mesma forma, foi verificado que os coeficientes de correlação entre as dimensões coesão e adaptabilidade e a variável autoestima foram 0,762 e 0,792, respectivamente (p<0,05). Foi analisado que existe uma relação direta e significativa entre funcionamento familiar e autoestima, por isso é necessário conscientizar os pais sobre o papel protetor e educativo que possuem e, além disso, é necessário que programas sejam aplicados na educação psicoeducativa que permitem desenvolver a autoestima dos alunos.

Abstract:
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between family functioning and self-esteem of students in the seventh cycle of regular basic education of a public educational institution in Puerto Maldonado, Peru. The approach was quantitative, the design was non-experimental and the type was descriptive correlational. The sample consisted of 203 students to whom the Family Cohesion and Adaptability Assessment Scale and the Self-Esteem Test for Schoolchildren were applied, instruments with adequate psychometric properties. According to the results, Spearman's rho correlation coefficient between family functioning and self-esteem was 0.753 with a p-value below the level of significance (p<0.05). Similarly, it was found that the correlation coefficients between the cohesion and adaptability dimensions and the self-esteem variable were 0.762 and 0.792, respectively (p<0.05). It was concluded that there is a direct and significant relationship between family functioning and self-esteem, so it is necessary to make parents aware of the protective and educational role they have and, in addition, it is necessary that programs are applied in the educational institution. psychoeducational that allow to develop the self-esteem of the students.
