Fraternity and Solidarity: a contribution of the Brazilian Constitution to Humanism
Resumo
A Fraternidade, comumente, é confundida nos seus aspectos teóricos e conceituais com a Solidariedade. O objetivo deste trabalho é separar e aclarar os resquícios da confusão teórica entre essas duas categorias. Verifica-se a Fraternidade como um importante fundamento da cultura ocidental, bem como a força e legitimidade da sua estrutura conceitual, identificando os diferentes papéis que a Fraternidade e a Solidariedade ocupam na estrutura normativa constitucional brasileira. As técnicas de investigação utilizadas para este estudo foram as da pesquisa bibliográfica e, para alcançar a resposta do problema da pesquisa, optou-se em aproximar e relacionar ideias necessárias à compreensão de que não é mais possível insistir na concepção reducionista de atribuir à Fraternidade limites conceituais e teóricos, a fim de substituí-la pela Solidariedade (ou de combiná-las).

Abstract:
The Fraternity is commonly confused in its theoretical and conceptual aspects with Solidarity. The purpose of this article is to separate and clarify the remnants of the theoretical confusion between these two categories. The Fraternity is seen as an important foundation of Western culture, the strength and legitimacy of its conceptual structure and the different roles that the Fraternity and Solidarity occupy in the Brazilian constitutional normative structure. The research techniques used for this study were those of the bibliographical research and, in order to reach the answer of the research problem, it was decided to approximate and relate necessary ideas to the understanding that it is no longer possible to insist on the reductionist conception of attributing to the brotherhood limits conceptual and theoretical, in order to replace it with Solidarity (or to combine them).
